The Ombudsman found that the September 10, 2012 meeting of the Planning Committee for the Town of Larder Lake was open to the public.
The Ombudsman found that the September 10, 2012 meeting of the Planning Committee for the Town of Larder Lake was open to the public, however he noted that the Town's Procedure By-law should be amended to state that the Committee must follow the open meeting requirements at its meetings, given that four of the five members of council sit on the Committee. The Ombudsman also found that council's December 7 closed session to discuss potential property litigation fell within "litigation or potential litigation" exception to the open meeting requirements.
